Creating an Account

UPDATE: As of May 2014 customers are no longer required to create Web site accounts in order to make purchases in our store. The option to do so is still available at checkout, but it is optional. However, having an active customer account is recommended if you wish to purchase downloadable music files.

If you do decide to create an account, rest assured we do not use your personal info any way other than for fulfilling purchases through our online store. After creating an account you will be able to track your orders and download any MP3s or files you may have purchased by viewing your "My Account" page.

How to Place an Order

Navigate and click to the release/item you wish to purchase and, from that page, click the Add to Cart button. Many items also require you to choose additonal options (such as release format or t-shirt size) before adding the item to your cart. For those items, make sure you have selected your options before clicking the Add to Cart button.

Once an item has been added to your cart you will be taken to the main cart page. On this page you can update quanities, remove items, proceed to checkout or continue shopping. If you continue shopping, you will see an itemized list of your cart's contents in the left side bar of the site as you navigate the site (this list will be hidden if you visit the Home page, but don't worry your cart is saved). If you want to change quanities or remove items from your cart, click the View Cart link to return to your main cart page.

When you are finished shopping, simply click the Checkout link from your cart. From there you will provide us with your contact information and be asked to create a new user account if you haven't already done so. When you have filled out your details, click Review order where you will have one last chance to verify your purchase details.

When you are satisfied that everything is correct, click the Submit order button to proceed to PayPal to securely provide payment information and finalize your order.

Payment Options

Controlled Burn Records uses PayPal to process payments. After checking out, you will be redirected to PayPal.com to provide your payment information. PayPal accepts most major credit cards and you do not need to create a PayPal account in order to complete a purchase. During checkout, after clicking Submit order you will be redirected to the PayPal payment screen. If you want to simply use a credit card without registering for the PayPal service simply click the second option on this screen as shown in this screenshot.

Shipping Charges

We charge a base fee $3.75 for any single item. Each additional item will cost $0.25 per item. Large format posters are mailed separately in mailing tubes and therefore cost slightly more to ship. There is no shipping charge for digital downloads.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

We currently only sell to USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany and France via our online catalog. Before attempting to place an international order on this site, please send us an e-mail and we will work with you to calculate shipping costs, etc.

DIgital Downloads

Any digital downloads that you purchase will be available on your user account page under the files tab once you've logged into the site with the same user ID that you used when you purchased the download. In most cases, a file is allowed to be downloaded a maximum of three times. More info on file downloads...
